Are doorway bouncers/jumpers safe?

Baby girl has taken a liking in attempting to bounce in her activity center and I really love the doorway bouncers because I can do stuff while her being right there but now that I’m thinking about it…are they REALLY safe?

Pediatric therapist here! Totally fine in short spurts if they’re installed correctly and babe has no medical conditions. We use them with kids with certain disabilities to get some vestibular input going and some fun as well. Just don’t let it become a crutch that you use for hours at a time. It should be a treat not a regular pastime

They're just as safe as trampolines. Meaning they're not, but enough people use them that many parents think they're safe.

But unnessesary.
Baby trains all the wrong muscles and it delays developement in moving deparment. Like walking.

They’re safe as long as the baby is not in them for too long. Like 10 minutes isnt going to cause harm amd will probably mean your baby is happy and getting tired out and you actually have a bit of free time to do stuff around the house

I wouldn’t recommend it and I personally avoided them. I did a lot of reading about it and decided it wasn’t worth it. For a quick reference why, look up “the movement mama” on Instagram. I’ll screenshot what she says about them , but basically they aren’t developmentally ready to jump like that. It’s fun, but not developmentally the best for their hips.

Yes if they are properly installed/anchored and the baby is monitored carefully.
No if they are installed wrong and baby is just left in them unattended for any length of time.
