Benadryl??

So it’s that season and my allergies are kicking my butt😔I have terrible allergies and this year is really bad because I live around so many trees and flowers right outside my apartment. I had my bf pick up Benadryl I took one last night hoping it would be enough but it did absolutely nothing for me so I took two today is that alright? I know it says recommended dose is 1-2 but I just don’t know if that’s what pregnant women normally take? I have a string tolerance to medication unfortunately for some reason so I can’t do less than 2 I guess. Im just worried it could hurt the baby is all. I stopped taking my Tylenol pm and only took it when I was in terrible pain so I’m trying to be extra safe especially since I’m 38 weeks now I don’t wanna do anything if I don’t have to.

You can take 25-50 mg every 4-6 hours but it shouldn’t be taken daily. 
A good option would be an antihistamine nose spray like azelastine. My doctor said that’s a good safe option. And a bonus is it clears up nasal congestion if you do get that. ￼ i’ve been doing daily steam and massaging my sinuses along with essential oils and that nasal spray. Also antihistamine eyedrops. My doc said it’s safer to use the antihistamine nasal spray and eyedrops frequently than taking oral Benadryl all the time.
Nettle leaf tea it’s also a natural antihistamine. So I drink that daily as well. Extra vitamin C supplement also works as a natural antihistamine.

Answer

Take the 2 or switch to zyrtec if its not strong enough you can take up to 3 a day. 
I see an allergist and she said she prefers zyrtec 3 times a day because of the effects of benadryl. 
Take 2 benadryl for now when you need but switch asap
