Should I ask for my order to be cancelled? (Small business)
I’m not really sure what group to post this to. I like to shop small, local businesses when I can. I placed an order with a small business for a Winnie the Pooh headband for me and a Winnie the Pooh binkie clip with my son. I wanted the items because my sons first birthday party will be Winnie the Pooh and it’s in august so I have plenty of time before I need them and I thought it’d be cute little touches. She has her own website, so they were ordered from there, but I found her through a friend who added me to her Facebook group. I placed the order on March 27. Her Facebook group said turn around time was 10-14 days. I got a text saying my order was received. I didn’t hear anything and no tracking info was sent, so I reached out to her on April 18. She said she was finishing all Disney orders at the end of the week and it would be sent out. I then got a text with shipping info on April 26. It’s now April 30 and the shipping info still says the label has just been created and it hasn’t been taken to the post office yet. Since I spoke with her on the 18th, she had a drop of new products on the 24th so I got a Starbucks headband and set for it as pickup and I messaged and asked where pick up was and it’s in the city I work so I marked pickup which said 5 days and I would be tagged in a post for my pickup date. She tagged about 45 people yesterday saying they could pick up, but I wasn’t one. I don’t want to be rude and I’m willing to wait a little longer for the Starbucks one, but at this point I feel kinda like I’m getting scammed out of my money, especially regarding the Winnie the Pooh products. I went back and it’s been 25 business days since I’ve places the Winnie the Pooh order. Should I request cancel or give it more time since I also ordered an additional headband for pickup?
