Is it safe to continue?
I’m currently 12weeks pregnant. I’ve been calorie counting for about a year. I switch from 1200 calories to 1400 depending on if I’m working out that week and if I’m eating out more than usual or if I’m trying to maintain or lose weight. Im 5’3 so calories are a little lower but I’m never hungry or starving myself. I’ve been maintaining a 1300 calorie intake this entire pregnancy and want to ask if I can continue to do so? I do work out at home about 30 to 40 min a day nothing intense. Has anyone continued to track their calories their entire pregnancy? Thank you!
Edit: thank you ladies for all the advice! I do want to say my OB is ok with me tracking calories and eating as usual as long as baby is growing and baby is growing great. I’m not trying to be in a calorie deficit by any means. It may seem like a little but again some days I eat more or some days less it just depends. But I also don’t eat after 6pm unless I have tea so that may be why I don’t have the extra calories. It may seem like I’m restricting but when I’ve been doing this for over a year my body just isn’t hungry after a certain time. But again I do eat and have plenty of nutrients throughout the day! But I def will be adding a few calories per day as the weeks follow as well!
