Do and how would I tell him?

My boyfriend is very concerned with shaving. If he isn’t shaved and i try to go down on him he gets nervous about his pubes being in the way. I always reassure him, but he still gets all awkward. So far he hasnt reciprocated oral (which is fine by me) but wants to. And I hate shaving because there’s always chafing and razor rash after. Like I’ll trim, but will not shave. And I feel like since he considers my opinion, I should at least tell him. Idk how tho.
