Do you enjoy being a mom?

Honesty time,
No, not really. They are my world, and they make me so proud, they make me laugh and smile with all their cuddles, milestones and cuteness. But, I kind of feel dead inside most of the time. It's not being a mom per say, but the way I have to mom. I dreamt of kids in daycare and a steady career. Instead, I'm a stay at home mom who had to drop her education and job opportunities. My partner doesn't get it, and without knowingly has made the situation worst. 
At the end of my days, I feel disgusting and like my day has been half-a$sed. I cleaned messes and dirty bums for most of it, and I don't feel much pride in it. I feel worthless even though I know this is something I should feel good about and that many wish they could have this. 
I try to be grateful and mindful, but no, unfortunately I most often don't enjoy being a mom. I feel like a shell of a person with nothing to offer despite offering all they do need. It's a selfish statement that *my* needs aren't met. 
But this chapter is coming to an end. Some day I'll look back and envy the woman who couldn't be satisfied in these shoes, so I'm trying to appreciate it as much as I can. I try to suppress the hard feelings. They really are growing so fast and they are my world. They are the most amazing beings I know. They deserve me at my best, and it's where I feel like I'm falling them, because I feel that I've been falling myself. I do enjoy being a mom, but I haven't been enjoying it. I expect to look back and miss these simpler times, but I expect to have a better answer as time goes. I do enjoy being a mom, I don't enjoy feeling lost and only knowing that I'm a mom.

I love it so much. I have hard moments of course where I’m tired or things feel too hectic, but I would never ever want to go back. Can’t wait to have more babies too
