Skin Care advice
This one is for all you skin care lovers! Firstly I have combination acne prone skin. I have had acne since the sixth grade, whether it be one pimple or eight-ten. I started using Curology in August 2021. My skin was so smooth and glowing the whole time. No pimples/redness/texture/no visual pores at all. However I stopped in January 2022. I didn't want to use Clindamycin every night anymore. It was one of my three ingredients. (Clindamycin/niacinamide/azelaic acid.) I started incorporating the next products mentioned until my routine was the following:
Morning: CeraVe foaming facial cleanser and CeraVe Ultra-Light moisturizing lotion with SPF 30.
Night: Neutrogena pore refining exfoliating cleanser with glycolic acid and CeraVe moisturizing lotion (for normal to dry skin.) Everything was fine until the middle of March and up until now. My face has been broken out with pimples, redness, and you can see some pores again. It has been oily a bit more too. My current skin routine is:
Morning: Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne-Fighting Redness Soothing facial cleanser with salicylic acid and ZitSticka's MEGASHADE Breakout-proof SPF 50 serum.
Night: Neutrogena pore refining exfoliating cleanser with glycolic acid and Curology the gel moisturizer (until I can find a lightweight moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and without niacinamide.) I just started my current routine. What do you think of this skin care routine? Any thoughts? I miss my glowing skin however I am done with Curology.
