Advice on how to stop trying ??

Please someone tell me how you stopped trying… I keep hearing stories of women who tried for years and when they stopped, it happened. TTC has taken over my life this past year and it’s just not happening for me. I’ve decided to not test next cycle and do my best to not give it all my energy as I’m exhausted.

Within reason, whatever you aren’t allowing yourself to do because of TTC, do it! Enjoy the drinks and foods you love, spend time out with friends fertile window be damned, hang out in a hot tub or bath, have sex when you WANT to. Get back to that carefree lifestyle and it will feel so good and your hormones will thank you ❤️ good luck ✨✨

I used to be in the same situation as you. TTC took over my life, I was spending hundreds a month on sperm friendly lubes, supplements, ovulations tests, pregnancy tests.. everything I could get my hands on. I ended up having to step away by starting to focus on diet and exercise instead, and chanelled all of the energy into working on me and my mental health. I used to exercise for 45 minutes before work, then when I got home I used to go for a 45 minute mountain walk. After that, i'd have a bath and meditate during, then plan my meals for the next day before going to bed. After about 4 months of this I actually found out I was pregnant🙈 I'm the kind of person that used to get really insulted if someone told me 'just stop trying and it will happen', because I had been trying for 3 years and had 4 losses, then it turned out they were right. As hard as it is, I think the stress of trying and seeing a negative each month delays conception. The effect that the stress hormones have on our bodies is insane. Baby dust to you, I pray you reach your goals asap🙏

"Not trying" does not fix infertility. But you deserve to feel well mentally while TTC, regardless of success. I threw away the OPKs and stayed off the TTC apps/boards. I added things that I enjoy, like baking, reading, yoga, dinners with friends, etc. By being intentional about what I filled my time with, I was able the nurture my mental health and who I am as a person outside of TTC.
