Calming meds?

I’ve heard people say different things…do they give you anything in your IV to relax you before surgery? PTSD from emergency c section and just so nervous!

I’m nervous too. I’ve had three C-sections and the last time I couldn’t feel myself breathe and I was freaking out. I’m also nervous about pain management after. I have 17 days till my c-section

Honestly, just ask! I was anxious about getting nauseous during mine so I asked to be given nausea meds before and the anesthesia doctor said sure no problem!

I don’t believe so because it could cross over the placenta. But I’m not 100% positive.
