Should we open the envelope??

Question

So before we even got pregnant, hubby and I agreed not to find out the gender of this baby (our third) and be surprised at the birth. He was against it, but reluctantly agreed because it was something I really wanted to experience at least one time. Well we just had our anatomy scan and he asked the tech to put it in a sealed envelope (which I have hidden). But now he’s really wanting to open it and I’m second guessing the decision to wait to find out in case my intuition is totally off. Please comment if you’ve gone team green 💚 and how you felt about your experience! Thanks!

Both babies were team green and I LOVED it. It was motivation through labour knowing a surprise was coming.

Be surprised! Few “good” surprises left in life. We didn’t find out and it was the BEST surprise and our OB shouting it’s a boy!!

I was in this exact same position and I caved and opened it 🥲 I wasn't expecting them to put it in an envelope so it completely caught me off guard and I just had to know if I was right about having a girl after two boys and I was! I was so excited and still am but I do wish I would've waited because now I'll never get to experience that kind of surprise. So my vote is wait! 💖

I’m team green and totally relate!  I’m now wanting to find out but telling myself it will so be worth the wait in the end!  Keep your eyes on the prize!  For me it’s my last pregnancy so I want to do it differently this time. 💚💚💚

Of course, do whatever you feel is right.. but I was in the same boat as you. Third baby, I have a girl and a boy, and once I had one of each I wanted to be surprised! My hubby wanted to find out again, so he did, and I won’t know until baby is born! I’m super excited for that moment when our baby is born, and they tell me what it is😍🥰. I have clothes for either or though, and all my bigger purchases; crib, car seat, bassinet, are all gender neutral!

It’s worth the wait! We waited to be surprised with our second baby and it was so fun. We had planned on being surprised with our third baby but finding out we’re having identical twins is surprise enough so we opted to found out their genders this time around. You won’t regret waiting until birth!
