For all mamas who are not on paid leave when are you going back to work?

Im scared I’m going back too soon but I’m not on paid leave unfortunately since I got my job 6 months before giving birth. I’m 5 weeks pp and thinking about going back next weeks

I went back at 5 days after giving birth. Like you, I had just started a new job so wasn’t entitled to paid maternity leave. I work from home and am doing 25 hrs a week currently my boy is 8 weeks old now and it has been soooo stressful. I live alone so no one to look after him when I’m working. Am looking for a baby sitter at the moment because I know I can’t keep going on like this. I feel bad about leaving him with a stranger but I need the money so quitting my job isn’t an option. I don’t know your situation, but I hope you have someone you trust to look after your little one. Don’t feel bad about going back to work if you need to, you’re providing for your child and you should be so proud of yourself mama. Sending you lots of love ❤️

I work from home mostly. Except twice a week I drive an hour to go into office to pick up mail. I started part time at 3wk 5 days post partum, meaning just did couple things at home, didn’t make trips to office. At 6wk 4 day I started back full time. Couldn’t afford financially to wait any longer. I live close to both sets of parents so they are able to help watch her when needed.

So I am a part time contracted employee who works from home. I usually work abouy 30 hours a month and most of it involves reviewing data, making graphs and some monhtly notes. I did not take a break at all and its been okay. If I had to go into a job I would absolutely not. My head space unfortunately just wouldnt be there where I could actually work appropriately. I am 8 weeks now, almost 9 and I am just now getting into a better headspace with work.
