First round IVF hoping for a miracle

Hi all, I’m on day 3 of stims with my first round of IVF. It’s been Menopur in the morning and Gonal F at night. Bloodwork Saturday for Estradiol and Progesterone. My husband and I have tried cabergolin for my high prolactin and then letrozole and 3 rounds of IUI with no success. I’m feeling hopeful with the IVF. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Update 5/12: I had 17 eggs retrieved. I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia. Felt very dizzy and nauseous after and projectile vomited in the car. Lol. But overall the pain was minimal. Nothing compared to my period cramps.

Update: 5/13: 14 eggs were fertilized! Husband and I are super happy and thankful. My transfer will be on day 5, Tuesday. My hospital doesn’t do daily updates so I will know how many make it on the day of the transfer. Fingers crossed lots of healthy embryos!

Update 5/14: very bloated in my stomach today, but no longer feeling any pain from the surgery. It’s almost like I’m gassy or something. Sending positive thoughts to my growing embryos :)

Update 5/17: transfer day! Only 3 of the 14 developed to day 5. I wonder why that is… nonetheless, fresh transfer today! Super happy.

Update 5/21: feeling completely healed from the surgery. Got an update on the embryos. They were able to freeze 4. Two on day 5 and two on day 6. Felt some cramping the last two days. Sometimes it’s dull and sometimes it’s a stabbing type of sharp pain intermittently an inch lower than my belly button and a bit to the right. Doesn’t last for more than 10 minutes at a time, a few times a day. I hope that’s a good sign. No spotting or anything. Beta in 6 days!

Update 05/22: I don’t feel the sharp pains anymore. I do feel period like cramps sometimes when I get up after sitting or lying down for a long time. Friday (beta) can’t come fast enough.

Update 05/23: weird feeling in my uterus. I can’t explain what it feels like. I also had some pink spotting today! Will be so sad if all these promising symptoms were nothing at the end :( beta in 4 days!

Update 05/27: it’s a sad day. Beta only measured 13 today (10dp5dt). Nurse said it’s likely a chemical or ectopic. Need to go in in two days to do beta again. There’s a chance the embryo catches up, but based on my research, chances are really low. We shall see Sunday. Really hoping it’s not ectopic. If it’s chemical I hope my levels go down to normal earlier rather than later.
