How many of y’all have gotten pregnant quick on the iud?

I’ve heard of a lot of women getting pregnant with the iud? If so how long after u got it did you? And was it a viable pregnancy? How did u know you were pregnant?

Nobody should be getting pregnant with the IUD....that defeats the purpose.

I had the paraguard IUD for about 7 years before I got pregnant. It had moved which is how I got pregnant. I carried baby with the IUD still in until 19 weeks. I miscarried at 19w3d.

Take that thing out unless you want to end up pregnant and lose the baby! I got pregnant 4 months into having it iud was perfectly in place lost the baby due to it being ectopic 8 wks via emergency surgery!
Ectopic pregnancies are the highest rate with IUDS

I had the iud paraguard after my first born for over 10 years(recommended you take it out 10-12yrs max) and i did not get pregnant while my husband went inside me every time pretty much i did not have any complications while having the iud inside me and when i took it out cuz my husband and i were going to see if we happened to get pregnant we happen to get pregnant.. welp i was pregnant 3 months later healthy pregnancy, strong baby girl. so i plan to get the iud paraguard again after my ppr is finished 👍🏼 since we may want one more baby a few years from now.

Nobody should get pregnant lol of course it will happen but it is VERY rare. I had my Mirena for a year and a half then I had it removed to ttc and got pregnant about 5 months later. We had unprotected the whole time I had my IUD and never once did I have a pregnancy scare besides when it stopped my period lol

Update: I missed my period and I’m on Paraguard iud the copper one and you still ovulate on it and can get pregnant if it moves

I did but quickly miscarried, it was through my wedding too. 
My older sister was conceived on the iud as well. 
It is possible but rare I would take a pregnancy test & if needed get blood work done.

I’ve had multiple Mirena IUDs with zero pregnancies while the IUD was in place. I’ve had several friends with various IUDs and none of them have gotten pregnant with them in place. 
Pregnancies conceived with an IUD have a much higher chance of being ectopic, which is a very serious and potentially life threatening medical problem for the pregnant person. If you think you’re pregnant with an IUD, call your dr asap to have blood work done to confirm a pregnancy and figure out next steps.
