Toilet drinker

My dog will only drink out of the toilet! Does anyone have any ideas on how to change this? I’ve tried different water bowls, providing fresh water multiple times throughout the day, putting a little ice in his water. But nope. No matter how thirsty he is he won’t use his bowl. He’ll sit at the toilet and wait for me to lift the lid for him. Wth!!! It’s an excellent excuse to clean the toilet daily, but I’m kinda sick of dog slobber all over the seat 😂
