Would you be upset?

Question

The other day my husband and I had a little spat and he got upset and cancelled an edible arrangements gift for me. This morning he comes in with flowers and a nice card but I saw the edible Arrangement refunded and he said he cancelled it when we argued on Tuesday. I am
No contact with my mom and this is my first Mother’s Day not speaking to her and celebrating myself. I want to cry about it because I am upset. Would you be mad that he cancelled the order? Should I just let it go?

Ya but I’d let it go at this point. He did something dumb when he was emotional but he made up for it with something else. Just have a conversation (maybe not today though) about how you guys need to communicate better and not make quick decisions based on emotion.

I wouldn't be upset with your husband at all. Yes, he cancelled the order, but he still went out and got you something. It's not uncommon when emotions are running wild to make a rash decision. At least he didn't cancel it and then got you nothing. I'm also sorry about your mom.

His reaction is immature and petty, but I wouldn't focus on that today. Some fruit and chocolate would not fix your emotions about your mom. I would focus on some self care today and let the arrangement go.

I think they’re gross, so no. Also, he got you flowers and you wouldn’t have even known if you hadn’t seen the refund, right? Did you ask for an edible arrangement specifically? This is all just kind of weird to me. Why does it matter what kind of recognition you get? If you’re having a tough time not speaking to your kin, that’s a separate issue than an order being cancelled.

Well, it’s passive aggressive behavior. Be mad if you want but I would recommend you confront that behavior and try to get to the root of why that happens bc I guarantee it won’t be the last time it happens.

I’m no mom yet but like Mother’s Day is a holiday. In the end he made up with something else but he’s still your husband and it’s a gift from the kid. A little argument shouldn’t dictate him REFUNDING. A gift. Definitely approach that behavior. But nothing worth getting super worked up over just talk to him. Emotions can cause terrible choices but still it’s a holiday.

I'd be upset that he acted so rashly and cancelled the gift during a petty argument knowing full well that you guys were going to make up. 
It's kinda petty and immature...but on the bright side you did get flowers. So there's that.
