Help me settle a petty argument

We have a tenant on our property. The gardens are separated but we have a little escape artist who like to come and go as she pleases between our garden and their garden (they don't mind, it was part of the agreement that she may visit).

She normally stays inside during the evening though, especially now that it's cold, and normally retires to the bedroom early. So when she's not with us in the living room, I don't stress.

This evening I wanted to let the dogs out one last time before we go to bed and our dog was nowhere to be seen. I am incredibly anxious about the dogs so when she wasn't in the room, my mind automatically started to panic. She can't get out the property at all, but you know I panic regardless. I have anxiety when it comes to my pets due to past circumstances.

Turns out she was with our tenant in their place. And I was upset about this because a) we had to go disturb them late to see if she was there which I feel is rude of us but also b) I feel like they could have at least let us know that she was there with them. Instead of keeping quiet the whole evening and then waiting for us to go to them to ask so late. I mean it's our pet, not some stupid thing we didn't need to find then and there.

My husband thinks I'm being stupid and it's not that big a deal. He went outside this evening but swears she came in with him, which is obviously didn't.

Who is right?
