When to do our baby shower?! 😫

I’m so torn. I have no idea when to do our baby shower… 
My daughters 3rd birthday is Sept 20th, I’m due Sept 14th. To be safe, I want to have her birthday in August so we don’t have too many people in contact with our newest addition when he’s born. 
Problem is, I have 8 August birthdays in my family already… and in July is my Nephews 1st birthday. So I don’t want to overshadow his very special day.. and we just have so much going on in August. But June is literally right around the corner so now what? 🥴

My wife and I just had our baby shower on the 15th. I'm due September 19th, but we have so much going on during the summer months that we opted for an early shower plus gender reveal. It was a great turn out and now we still have time to get the things we need without stressing or procrastinating.

I was in the same type of situation with no weekends working for the summer. Mainly around one of the ppl throwing it for me. So I settled for a Friday evening in June  for appetizers and desserts at 6:30. It was either that or third week into August which I didn’t want to do at all. Frustrating part is it’s at my house since no one lives in my city and my daughters bday party is the next day 😳. I would do what makes you comfortable!

Well if I were you I'd have the baby shower in June and for my girl I'd have only a very small gathering with parents and husband! And explain to her that it will be hard for a big party and that next year you'll make up for it!

I would push her birthday into October with that much going on. Maybe do something as a family on, or the week of, her birthday to celebrate and then have the actual party later. Maybe the zoo, the park, go out for ice cream….something small to acknowledge her together.
If you’re due in September, how about a July baby shower? I’m due September 25 and my shower date is set for July 30. If august is that busy for people, I wouldn’t want to overwhelm them with another event and expense. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ just my 2 cents.

Is another weekend in July possible, I understand it’s his first birthday but if they have the party one weekend that still leaves 4 other weekends (July has 5 weekends this year).
