How long after you had a baby did it take for you to get pregnant again?

Was it planned or not?

Our son just turned 1 year old on the 12th. We were ready to start trying when he was 8-9 months old but I was having very weird irregular periods and I wasn’t ovulating. Saw my OB and got on BC to help regulate my period. Saw my endocrinologist to make sure it wasn’t my thyroid disease causing it, all is good there, my meds are working and levels are great. Tried BC for 3 months, this is the second BC I tried since giving birth. Symptoms got worse, hot flashes, night sweats, periods started getting closer together like every other week and most last 12-21 days.

Saw a different OB and now I am stopping BC and seeing if my period regulates on its own but I have zero faith it will.

Anyone else have this problem?
