I’m 20 and freshly out a relationship that I thought would be long term. I know I have the rest of life to explore and experience but I wanted some insight to the different roads of love. I feel like I’m living life too fast and I need to slow it down :) feel free to add your story too

I was 19 and we’ve been together almost 11.5 years. We were on again off again for the first year and I moved out with our son for a few months 6 years into our relationship but we still were a couple but living separately. We’ve been through a lot of rough patches but now being in our 30’s we have matured a lot and have grown to love each other so much more. We now have a 9 year old son and an almost 5 month old daughter.

My husband and I met when I was 18. I thought he was cute, but he lived a few states away so I never thought anything would happen. We chatted some over FB, but lost touch fairly quickly. 4 years later, he was looking for friends and hit me up, still thinking nothing would happen and we started chatting again. A year later he moved to my area and 6 months later we started dating. 6 months after that, we were married.

I was 17, and we were together 16 years before divorcing. Still friends and great coparents though. I started dating my now partner at 35. We’ve been together 8 years. It is so magically different to be a self sufficient adult actively choosing to be with a partner. I really did and still do love my ex for so many reasons, but we were just kids

14! We met in high school when I moved schools. He always wanted to date me but I always said no. We lost touch a couple of years after we left school. 
Skip a few years. We started talking again and I finally said yes to him 😂 We started dating the 10th anniversary we met, we didn’t know until I looked at my old school diaries. We are celebrating 3 years together in September.
Oh and we also found out our mums went to university together 😂 Small world!

I was with my high school sweetheart for 3 years before I met my husband and I was in shock when it ended with him too. Sometimes people are the right person for that season but not for life, and that’s okay.
