This is my 2nd medicated cycle. I am on 7.5 MG Letrozole cycle day 2 to 6. Then day 7 to 9, 2 days of 150 MG gonal F, then 1 day of gonal F 75 MG. Today is cycle day 9, last gonal F 75 MG injection this morning. I had an ultrasound from my friend (a certified sonographer, worked at an obgyn office for like 10 years, she is legit) she owns a private ultrasound place for viewing babies on ultrasound 2D/3D now! Anyway I went to her today to see the measurements (endometrium and follicles) endometrium is 9.40 which is good. They like to see it between 10 and 12 by the time of implantation. Still have estrace I will use to build it up until ovulation day. My right ovary has 2 good follicles on it. 1 is 20.2mm and the other is 18.0mm. My left has 3 follicles but only 1 good one at 16.1mm. The other 2 are 11.7 and 11.1. I am on cycle day 9. My ultrasound with the fertility specialist is on Monday, cycle day 12. I feel that my follicles will be way to big at Mon. Cd 12 ultrasound and over mature. If I have 3 good ones right now at size 16.1mm, 18.0mm, and 20.2mm. Tomorrow I go back to see my friend, 24 hours after today's measurements. I am expecting them to grow 2mm. They grow 1 to 3mm per day on medicated cycles. So I figure they will grow 2mm in 24 hours. So on cd 10 mine will be; left ovary 18.1mm, and right ovary 20.0mm, 22.2mm tomorrow. So I want to trigger on Sunday morning cd 11 which would still be 12 hours AFTER my ultrasound tomorrow with my above predictions on what my follicles will be. Then after trigger, your follicles still grow from the hcg ovudriel shot. Then you ovulate between 12 and 48 hours with the average being 36 hours, my office said. So my follicles will still grow after the trigger shot for about 24hrs. I am so worried if I don't trigger on Sunday morning (cd 11), my follicles will be POST MATURE and to big. I have an appt on Monday (cd 12) for an ultrasound with the fertility office. I have told them all of this and the doctor wants me to wait until Monday ultrasound to see and I truly feel in my heart, it will be to late. The eggs will be to big and post mature. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to explain. Monday will be cycle day 12. Even if I trigger that day, I know my follicles will be way to big and post mature. I don't want to waste this cycle. Please if anyone has any insight that would be great who have used letrozole and gonal F and what size your follicles were when you triggered. Thank you.
