We just got home from delivery and these are a few things I’d recommend!

• blankets/pillows - this made a huge difference for me. The blankets/pillows provided aren’t comfortable and after giving birth, a soft blanket and comfy pillow were really nice to have. It was also nice for pumping.

• Long phone charger

• Daily toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, face wash, deodorant, tooth brush, tooth paste, mouthwash, hair ties)

• Depends discreet panties - I really liked using these with the pads the hospital provided. They have a built in pad so if the pad moved I had extra protection. The mesh panties they provided were also super comfy but the pad doesn’t stay put in those as easy as they do in the depends.

• Nipple cream (if you’re pumping and breast feeding.) - I like the “nipple crack” one from Amazon. You don’t have to clean it off before pumping and feeding and it’s super moisturizing.

• breast pump (if you’re going that route) if your hospital doesn’t provide one or if you haven’t used it before so that the lactation specialist can help figure out settings while you’re there.

• comfy clothes

I can’t help with what to pack for baby. Our baby is in NICU and wasn’t ever in our room.
