Baby passed hearing test but doesn’t startle at claps or dog barking?

Hi all,
My baby passed his hearing test with clear responses from both ears. However he doesn’t startle when we clap or the dogs bark. What are the chances he’s deaf? So worried just looking to see if anyone’s experienced the same..
I feel like we have seen him react to sound before but not sure if I’m overthinking..

So 0 chances to being def. 
Do you have postpartum anxiety? Or is your anxiety just normally like this? Maybe try some meditation or a nice warm bath and some lavender oils. 
Its SO hard figuring things out as a FTM. I get it, truly! I stressed so much! You've got this!

I feel like I just saw this post but you removed it. 
It’s super common for babies not to startle when you expect it. Mine never startles at barking dogs, but then will jump out of his skin if my fork clanks against my plate.

My husband is a fireman and when my daughter was about a month old we stopped at the station to see him. The tones went off and the trucks left with sirens on and she slept through the entire thing 😂😂 Your baby is fine.

hey bestie I saw you deleted your other post. It’s not abnormal for him not to respond to every sound and your baby is not deaf because he passed. everyone else told you the same thing on your previous post and yet you’re still having anxiety about it so I would suggest just taking him in to the doctor because I feel like that’s the only way you are going to get relief

Your baby is use to the loud noises from the womb. If you have dogs then barking won't be a problem. Be lucky that baby doesn't startle and cry.

My baby never startled when the dog was barking. Then at about 12ish weeks our dog barked right next to baby. It startled her & she started crying. Ever since she starts crying now when the dog barks, even when they’re in separate rooms.

My now 5 month old was very much an observer. She never reacted to loud noises but passed her hearing test.  It took until about 3 months for her to start reacting. Now she looks at me when I say her name, and looks to a noisy toy when It starts going, etc. And is hearing perfectly fine. It just took her a while, Dr. said that's totally fine and some babies just take longer.

My son was 3 months old on New Year’s Eve. We had a small family gathering at our house. My husband’s cousin, his wife and their children(20 years old and 7 years old). My son went to sleep at about 9pm. He was in the same room as us. The wife kept shushing everyone because she thought any noise would wake my son up. He didn’t wake up. We ate, we talked, had music on. It wasn’t anything crazy.
It was getting closer to midnight and we planned to head out to see the fireworks. I got my son bundled up and put in the carrier. He slept through all of that. We got outside and came to a corner where someone set off loud fireworks across the street from where we were standing. Everyone panicked for a minute worrying that it caused my son to be startled, scared or hurt his ears. Nope, he slept right through it. The wife was shocked and still talks about it to this day. My son is almost 4.

My kid is the same way since birth. Babies hear loud noises even when they're in us so it probably just doesn't faze your kid. My kid loves dogs and even with my parents 2 adult male Rottweilers my kid doesn't react to them Barking or walking near her.

Like you were told before, if they passed the hearing test, they are not deaf. 
Those noises just aren’t startling. 
Please go see your pediatrician for a follow up hearing test so you can get peace of mind.
