Oral tips/ advice

So before I got with my partner I was a virgin (not for religious reasons just never really met anyone I liked) so didn't experience intimacy until I was like 21.

So ofc everything is new to me but when we've been intimate I've tried to use what I've read in books etc to...help 😅 he's always been happy with our intimate lives but when it comes to me giving him oral I always feel I might be a little lacking because of inexperience? It seems to take him a while to finish 95% of the time that way and he says that's normal and most guys take a while with that but I cant help but wonder if he says that to spare my feelings? Because whilst yes I know in books/ films everything is exaggerated etc most people on social media say different too. And there have been some times where it has been quicker and he'll stop me but normally not so I'm wondering is this standard or maybe even just him? Or could I be doing more? Without saying too much as we don't normally discuss these things with others there have been some times it's been quicker because anticipation/ end of a slow spell etc but most times not

Also...tips to stop jaw pain would be greatly appreciated 😅 because I think that definitely impacts on me and doing it
