How did you teach your child how to hold a pencil correctly ?

How old were they when they were able to do this?

My first learned during the lockdown with me, so she was 3. I just kept reminding her it’s easier to draw whatever she wanted to draw if she held the pencil near the tip. We compared how things turned out holding it different ways so she could see.
My second just turned 3 and he’s been holding it right for a while. Guess he learned at daycare, or by watching his sister, because it’s not something I taught him.

They make little things you put on pencils to help that my mom used to use for me and my brothers

I didn't teach her, I just give her free reign to do as many drawings as she wants and she holds her pencils, crayons, markers etc in the proper hold since 3.5

My first was about 4 when he comfortably held a pencil. We started at 2.
My 2nd naturally held her pencil correctly at 2 and a half. 
I plant to start around the same time with #3

My son was slow on motor skill development, so when he was in kindergarten we went to occupational therapy. He was holding pencils like an 18-24 month old would.
They taught him the “pinch and tuck” method.
I know there’s videos on YouTube of different methods to teach the proper grasp.
