Got my Boss fired for Sexual Harassment (read details)

Some years ago, I reported my ex boss to HR for sexual harassment towards my female coworkers and me. My boss got me fired prior for “showing up late” all the time even though I was within the 8 minute frame given. Anyway, I unintentionally reported him to someone and they reached out to HR and HR got a hold of me. Long story short, they investigated and he no longer works there. My husbands “parents” found out about it and told my husband I was evil and manipulative for getting my boss fired. What do you all think? Did I do the right thing to report him (regardless of me getting fired) or should I have left it alone? I still question my motive today and I just want some clarity.
