Bleeding through an Ultra Tampon in less then 30 minutes

Emily

I’m not sure if anyone else has this problem.. or if it’s even normal.

I usually start my period with a full on gush of blood. No joke, I’ll literally feel my period start because it feels like I’m peeing myself and it doesn’t stop. I use ultra tampons through out my whole 5 day cycle. 4 days out of that cycle are changing my ultra tampon every hour ( I also wear a pad at the same time because I bleed through no matter what happens ). I go through a large box of Ultra Tampons from just 1 Period cycle. I really wish I was joking. I bleed through so fast, sometimes it’s even before 30 minutes. It’s insane to me. RARELY do I ever catch a break with a light or medium cycle, if anything it happened twice within the year and a half.

I’m 20, I have seen an OBGYN for sharp stomach pains last year. But she didn’t do a Pap smear or even examine me at all. She talked to me for a while 5-10 minutes about Ovarian Cysts, sent me to get a Transabdominal ultrasound which turns out I have some fibroids, an Anteverted uterus, and some cysts. The pain is apparently the cysts popping.

It says my Endometrium is homogeneous. Endometrial thickness total 12.2 mm at that moment.

The Gyno didn’t say if I had PCOS or anything of that sort and tried to offer me birth control to try and look at options and sent me home and we never spoke again. That was almost a year ago.

I told her everything I had issues with yet she didn’t see worries or even offer me another appointment. I told her I don’t want to go on Birth Control. I’m not ready to mess up my Hormones more then they already are. I’m having many health problems & I’m thinking they’re already all hormonal. ( Gained 30 pounds in a month last year & stomach problems & my weight keeps going up. ) Both her and my doctor aren’t too worried. I also want to mention I get cramps 2 weeks or 1 week before my period. They’re almost to the point of full blown cramps where you can’t move like the kind I get on the first 2 days of my period. Usually this is my warning that shark week is coming. I seriously think the amount of pain pills will never help my cramps. The pain pills work for about 2-3 hours before I have to take even more medicine. I would like to say I take about 3600+ mgs of pain relief just a day during my period because the pain never stops only SLIGHTLY dulls for those 2 hours. I try my best to not even touch pain medicine if I can. I seriously don’t see how I can possibly bleed that much. It’s expensive to be a female on sanitary products alone.
