Ugh… Covid positive 🫤

Saturday my husband got really sick suddenly and felt like crap. He took a Covid test. Negative.

Sunday he felt even worse, so he took another Covid test (the ones we got from Biden lol), before going to work Monday. Also glaringly negative. No line at all.

He’s been sick all week but has had to go into work because they only really let you stay home if you’re Covid positive.

Well last night I started feeling sick, and my son started running a fever and threw up. I took our last Covid test this morning and it’s glaringly positive.

Why on earth did my husband get two negatives? We followed the directions. I know how to take the test properly since I am a nurse. He is much sicker, fever, tons of snot, and had two negatives, but I am barely sick, have a mild sore throat and congestion, and am positive.

All I can think is how many people he got sick by having to go to work!

Rapid tests has been shitty from day one.

My friend that lives in Scotland had the same thing happen to her. She negative LFTs, but got a positive PCR. PCR are more accurate. He should go get one done.

Well either he has something different or he is just one of those people that it's hard to get a positive on. I believe it's the omicron varient can be harder to get a positive on at times. Back in january I, both of my children and a bunch of people we had been around and only been around one another all got sick. Only 1 tested positive for covid but we all had the same symptoms and only been exposed to one another

The rapids have an extremely high false negative rate. and the PCR tests are so sensitive, you could have had covid three months ago and it would still detect it. I hate all the tests.

Rapids can suck And some don’t have a high enough “viral load” to show a positive rapid test

The rapid tests suck. It’s the same here in Canada… you can be horribly sick, take a test and it’s negative, take another still negative… take a third or forth and finally get a positive. It was suggested to us that we swap the back of our throats and then nose (same swab)…. But it still rarely works on first test. Hope you all feel better soon!
