Need advice

Hello loves I want to ask you guys for an advice and right now I’m so depressed 😩 okay so long story short I’m irregular and I went to the doc and he prescribed me metformin for my period to come out every month keep the blood flooding..Metformin can help regulate the menstrual cycle and even promote weight loss. So any ways my last cycle day was April 23rd… and I started taking the pills on may something I forgot.. so I started taking them everyday and out of no where I would see a lot of mucus on my underwear which it was kinda weird to me lol. On may 17th I decided to take an ovulation test and that same day it came out positive so me and my partner did it and then the next day on may 18th it came out postive again like a strong positive then on the 19th it was peak and ans so on and so on the line started getting lighter so I stopped and then on the 23rd I was spotting light like really really light pink and cramped for like almost 3 days… and today I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative.. So my question is is it too early to take a pregnancy test or is there something wrong with me????? Or what is going on 😫😫 I honestly don’t know when is my cycle day like I mention I’m irregular I usually have my period within 3 months or 4 even 2 it depends.. and I’ve been feeling mild cramps on my lower abdomen like on the right and little bit on the left Idk if my period is coming but I haven’t seen any blood… or spotting since that day on the 23rd where I thought I had an implantation bleeding.. Although it looked like an implantation bleeding but what should do gals???? Help !!
