Today there was blood (possible Subchorionic Hematoma)
While at work today I ran to go pee and as this is my first and I’m so paranoid I did my usual wipe and inspect for blood and the nightmare happened there was blood and the amount I would see during a period. My heart sank and I went full panic and meltdown. To make matters worse this is a new job…
Luckily my HR lady who knows I’m newly pregnant was alone in her office right by the bathroom and I went in and she closed the door and all I could get out was “I think I’m losing my baby” she helped calm me while I made the dreaded phone call to my OB who had a 15min hold time so hung up called my husband and rushed myself to the ER.
After blood work and ultrasound and a horrible 6 hour wait they were able to confirm everything is fine, it was most likely a cyst (they didn’t give me any firm explanation) and there was no major concern of a miscarriage just plenty of rest and keep an eye on things. They measured me at 6 weeks 4 days which is a little less along then we thought.
I just wanted to share this because we see so many horror stories and it’s important to do our best to stay positive and keep our stress down as much as possible for not just our babies but ourselves.
Stay strong ladies!! ✨
Edit: My OB is going to have me go in for a follow up ultrasound as it’s possible I have a Subchorionic Hematoma 🤞🏻 everything is going to remain ok.
