2 months too soon for an overnight?

My husband & I were planning on a 2 night camping trip when our son is 2 months, my mom would come stay with him (she’s been staying with us an entire month since he’s been born). I trust her, and obviously I’ll miss him but my husband and I definitely need time for ourselves. Am I awful for leaving a 2 month old baby for 2 nights? Is it going to be hard for him to cope with me being gone?

As long as there is plenty for baby to eat while you are gone, they will be totally fine! My daughter is 3 months old, and I feel like I could leave her overnight if I wanted to. I feel like at this age, separation anxiety hasn’t kicked in yet (for my baby at least lol I miss her when I’m away for a bit but know she is well taken care of).

We took out 2 month old cramping with us. 🤷‍♀️ But as I did only breastfeed, then in my case leaving baby for more than three hours already would not have been an option.

It's a personal decision I guess but it'd 100% be too young for me. My son is almost 3 years old now and it's not something I'm considering anytime soon. However, strangers on the internet can't tell you what's right for your situation as what works for one family won't for another.

My twins are 11 weeks old and and I left them overnight at my mom’s a few weeks ago for my birthday. Wanted to have some fun and have alone time with my husband. Only thing I’ll warn you about is missing them so much. By 5-6 am the separation anxiety was getting bad and I wanted my husband to pick them up already until he finally convinced me to go to sleep and we’ll pick them up in a few hours 😂 
So yea it’s okay just make sure you have cell service where you’re going so you can be in touch with your mom about the baby.

The earliest I left my son over night was at about 3 months old (it’s not often) but my brother just had a baby and they let my mom babysit over night a lot at not a mont old yet. It’s totally what you are comfortable with doing. Everyone is different and it doesn’t make you a bad parent

totally up to you, but i could never. i was set on having my son in the crib from day one, but the second i saw him and we were home, we set up his bassinet by my bedside cause i needed him close. he’s 9mo now and s hasn’t had an overnight. if we wanna go camping, or anywhere else that is overnight, he comes with us until he’s 1.5-2yo at least
