Is this sleep regression? Leap?

Our 8 month old daughter for the past few nights has been waking up and will not go back to sleep, it takes us hours to get her back to sleep and we can’t put her down, we have to hold her for those few hours. We’re losing our minds and we just want sleep! 😩

Mine will be 8 months on Monday and this has been going on for nearly two weeks. He had an ear infection that SHOULD be clear by now but he still wants to fight sleep. And I mean FIGHT. Scratching and yelling at me.

Maybe dropping one daytime nap helps.
When babies are up at night a lot, there are basically two major reasons, one is too much sleep in 24 hours overall, and the other one is not enough sleep for that same period.
Test it out.
