Cleaning Highchair Straps

Any tips and tricks for cleaning the highchair waist straps?? I can’t get them out of the highchair for the life of me and the instruction manual doesn’t show how to remove them or say if they’re removable lol. My baby just had his 1st bday and the straps are caked (pun intended) from his smash cake 😅😅
