Earlyish labor?

Question

How do I know if I’m in early labor? I’ll be 36 weeks tomorrow but I’ve had a ton of what I assume is Braxton Hicks lately. My body is also achey, in my lower abdomen and lower back.
Idk if this is just normal for how far along I am or if I should be concerned

i knew i was in labor because even walking around or drinking water didn’t help. i lasted all day in pain scared to get sent home from the hospital and my water ended up breaking at 2 am, and i got my epidural the second i was admitted and had my baby a few hours later

I had my son at 37 weeks and I felt exactly like that, although I’ve always had lots of Braxton hicks starting at 30ish weeks. But the night before I had him, I was getting them more frequent even while laying down and with each one I’d feel lots of pressure in my pelvis and sure enough, by the next morning I was having full on painful contractions 🥴

I hate to be the one, but I had my second labour happen extremely fast and silently… I was 37w6d with some back pain but all I thought was “ im pregnant so why would I feel that this is labour?” I had a doc appointment the previous day @ 37w5d with 0cm dilated and 0% efface. Not even 12 hours later 38 weeks exactly 3am I was like “ hmm this back pain is still here but In sort of a pattern!” 
Go in to the assessment and I was 6cm fully effaced. Active labour. Id watch your symptoms for the next bit then maybe get checked! Drink water and relax seeing if that subsides the pain’!
