How to prevent flat head?

Tummy time! But tummy time doesn't have to he just layingon the floor on their stomach - it can be wearing them in a wrap, let them take a "contact nap" (laying on their tummy on tip of you), etc. 
Also, let them lay down while awake in a sidelying position and place high contrast objects around them to look at. Or, if they are laying on their back, put toys in areas where they have to turn their head to see them.

Tummy time!! Lots and lots of tummy time. Helps strengthen their neck plus it doesn’t make them lay on one side of their head too much.

Tummy time and play time. Not too much time in bouncers and car seats. But a little flatness is completely normal and usually goes away on its own. Their skulls are flexible and babies are designed for laying down often in infancy. Avoid anything marketed to worried parents to prevent flat spots especially when sleeping; they’re total scams, dangerous, and just trying to take advantage of our love for our kids to steal our money. If you have serious concerns talk to your pediatrician but they also look at their heads every appointment and will help you if there’s any issues! Some kids need a chiro, some PT, some severe cases a temporary helmet but like I said a little flatness is normal and usually corrects 😊 (I’m a therapist myself)

Tummy time and holding your baby more than leaving them laying on their back. But, even if baby has a misshapen head, it's very likely it won't stay that way once they are able to maintain longer bouts on their tummy.
