Quick rant / vent.

I'm 8 months pregnant, have 3 kids at home, my husband is out of town for the next 8 days, and we were invited to a wedding next weekend. This is going to be a stressful week for me and ending it with an out-of-town wedding sounds awful. When I told my inlaws I don't plan on attending, my MIL was obviously disappointed. She keeps trying to convince me to come and that there will be lots of people to help. However, even with willing helpers the kids will gravitate towards me because I'm "Mom". I won't be able to turn off Mom Mode to relax, enjoy some adult company, etc.

I woke up this morning to a text from my MIL begging me to come with the kids. I'm annoyed. I said no and I think my reasons are valid. I replied saying "I'm sorry, but it's a no." I'll be seeing my inlaws again tomorrow and I really hope she doesn't bring it up again.
