Sippy cups? Water? When and how?

Hey ladies, when did you introduce a sippy cup? My son will be 6 months on saturday and we want to start introducing small amounts of water with his solids. What kind of sippy cup do you recommend? The 360 cups or one with a straw? Also did you introduce unboiled tap water or did you continue using boiled water or distilled water? Thanks!

I gave open cup with every meal.
Basically it is not that much needed, just extra, so we had it as a cup practice. At home, my son has always ised an open cup and when out straw cup.

Open cup or straw is better for their oral development. 
We started with the ezpz tiny cup, because I liked that it narrowed a little bit at the top and was weighted on bottom so it made it easier for my baby to use. But I also found a brand on Amazon that is pretty similar and you get two tiny cups for the same price as the ezpz one. 
The first straw cup we used was the munchkin weighted straw but the straw is pretty tough for a little infant to use. It’s good practice still though. Once he got older we switched to a contigo straw tumbler
