C section mamas !

Esmeralda • Bella 👩‍👧 Currently pregnant with baby #2 💙 Married 💕

For all my c section mamas who have had multiple c sections I just wanted to ask a few questions. But first a little about my story. My first was an emergency c section & im currently 36 weeks pregnant with my second & I have a scheduled c section. How was the second c section for you ? Did they cut you on the same scar or a little more up or down ? How did you recover from the second one ? & any other advice you guys may have please feel free to share. Thank you guys so much in advance !! ❤️

I’ve had 6 second and everyone following was a lot more comfortable and less painful then the last, they also cut the same place every time. This last time they did note that my uterus from my last surgery had healed connected to my bladder but it wasn’t a issue a quick fix and I haven’t had any issues with my bladder at all.

My first I had an emergency C-section as well and wen I had my second I asked for another csection due to I wasent dialating and I was already 19 hours into being induced and wen they did the csection they actually went alittle above my first one and straightened it out for me and it’s kinda less noticeable now! Recovery was easier then my first by far becuz I knew what to expect for the most part but now that it’s been healed I can feel things inside tugging sometimes if I stretch to far lol I also am going to have a third csection with my current pregnancy so I’m hoping things go smoothly again!

Honestly depends on the dr but they have recut mine. They also tend to cut out any scar tissue. My 2nd was beautiful, easy and relaxing.

First was an emergency, second was scheduled and I have a third scheduled at the end of August. World of difference! The scheduled ones are much more relaxed and you are totally present since you have spent the last x amount of hours laboring and potentially pushing. My doctors go through the same incision and recovery was definitely better the second time around!

Both of mine were emergency C-sections. First time, twins, preterm labor and preeclampsia. Emergency c @ 35+3. I was on a 48hr magnesium drip after delivery, catheter for 48 hrs, didn’t walk for 2 days also. Was so out of it, I was convinced one of my babies didn’t make it because I wasn’t allowed to go to nicu (wasn’t well enough). For my daughter, another emergency C-section. Wheeled straight from my Drs appt to the OR (gestational hypertension with protein starting to show up). She was born at 5:40pm, and by 6am the next morning, my catheter was out and I was up trying to walk. By 9am-ish, they let me go see my baby in nicu. Second time around, I made sure I stayed on top of my meds and when I could ask for them. Focused much more on healing and getting stronger so I could be with my baby as much as possible. All 3 of my babies were in nicu 8-10 days.

I was cut in the same spot both times. The recovery from the second was different. Not really better or worse. Just different. There were parts that were easier and parts that were worse. The pain was even different. I was able to move around more and quicker the second time. The second one was worse just because I had a toddler to care for and couldn’t. Whatever you do, DO NOT pick up your older child until you’re supposed to!!! I made that mistake a few times and I think it slowed my healing process and made it more painful.
