Positive ovulation while one day late for period ?

I’m so confused. I was testing hcg because my period was supposed to come yesterday. I’m nauseous and cramping. But it appears to be negative. So out of curiosity I took opk. I’m so confused.

If your late with negatives your ovulation is off and if you just got a positive then yes and your symptoms sounds like ovulation you should add bbt to confirm ovulation and you will know when you ovulated, dpo, luteal phase length (is from the day after ovulation to period which stays the same each cycle give or take 1-2 days. Average length is 12-14 days give or take 1-2 days.) when period is coming by temp drop or if you miss your period and your temp stays up then there is a chance for pregnancy

I know that it’s pretty common to have another surge right before your period, that’s why they tell you not to keep testing after your first positive

So I don’t want to get your hopes up by any means, and I know it’s not an indicator of pregnancy, but for both my pregnancies opks we’re positive before I had a faint line. I’d say just wait and see what happens a few days.
