Potty trained?

are your LO’s potty trained already? my little girl will be 3 october 2nd and still is not fully potty trained.. she’s been sitting on the potty for months now and still has not grasped the concept.. she will tell me only sometimes. I just started putting her in underwear I mean she knows when she poos and pees on the pot but she won’t tell me she has to go she will just stand there and go.. I asked her did she have to pee and she shook her head no then went on my floor about 5-10 minutes later i’m exhausted with potty training 😩 what am I doing wrong?

We use this in our house and we love it! It is so easy to just put in and take out. And my daughter is able to put it in herself when needed. I have tried ALLLLL of the potty training things with the seats that attach the small potties and I hate all of that stuff! (I do however have one of those small portable potties in the back of my car for times that we are out and she needs to potty.)

All kids are so different. We followed the oh crap potty training method. We just committed some days to staying home and being bare naked. We tried to make it fun with new play do some toys and books he hadn’t seen for a while and fun foods. I kept the potty in the room with us and if he started to go I would say wait or stop and put him on the potty and try to have him finish there. It was some focused time with him (no phone no distractions for me) and he at first did great and then started to refuse to sit on the potty so then we got into the bribe game. He still gets a yogurt bite or a fruit snack for going poop and we potty trained in December so…….. 
we also read a lot of potty books that we checked out from the library. I think the books really helped. We did that before and during the potty training. I think just committing to no more diapers is the way to go. The in limbo is tough for me. 
After we were naked and he was getting the hang of it then we moved to shorts or pants but no underwear (they can feel tight like a diaper). That stage lasted a long, long time for us because then he didn’t want to wear underwear for months. 
After our initial potty training with some accidents he will have a pee accident every 2-3 weeks at our house but he has had zero accidents at school (he attends 2 days a week) or out and about so it’s fine. I still prompt him to go before we leave for outings or before nap and bedtime (he still wears a diaper at night but not for nap)

Mine isn’t yet. She still has trouble with pulling her pants down so we haven’t pushed her too much. She’s only successfully gone a few times. The first potty seat we bought had the steps up, but the hole was way too big so she’s been nervous about it since even though we got a different seat. We may try the Super Potty Trainer thing above. I hadn’t heard of that until tonight.

We started hard core potty training once he turned 2 and honestly I feel like it was a complete waste of time 😅 we tried many methods for about 2 weeks each and if no progress we would try something new (his doctor said different things work for different kids so we were just trying to figure out what worked for him). Finally someone suggested just letting him run around with no pants and we had a few messes to clean but it honestly worked pretty good, however we got in the situation you’re in where he knew he had to go but just wouldn’t do it on the potty. I started put him in undies every day and if he peed in them we just put a new pair on. Finally about 2 weeks ago he just started going to the toilet on his own. Literally wouldn’t say a word and would walk into the bathroom and go by himself and we haven’t had any pee accidents since! He still won’t poop on the potty even though he knows when he has to go. He will ask me for a pull up when he has to poop. I tried holding off on the pull up to see if he would go on the potty and that didn’t work. Poor kid held it in until I gave in 😬 But I think he will get it eventually in his own time. I think we need to encourage them to go on the potty but honestly they’ll do it when they’re ready. My sister has a daughter that turned 3 in March and she’s just now getting the hang of it too. I think there is so much pressure on us parents to have our kids potty trained by a certain time, but each kid is different and will do it when they feel ready ❤️

I don’t even know how “we did it” but my daughter will be 3 on October 23 and she’s fully potty trained. She did great for the first 3 weeks of May during the day but still did pull ups at nap and bed then the last week of May she started pooping in her underwear. After 4 days of pooping in her underwear we went back to pull ups full time. By day 3 in pulls ups, she was going poop and pee on the potty. We’re now on week 4 of underwear only including at bed time and nap. She’s had 3 accidents total in those 4 weeks. One she was having a breakdown and peed herself, one she as on antibiotics and had diarrhea, and the last time we went to an amusement park and she fell asleep the last 30 mins we were there and I put her straight into the car and she didn’t wake up until we were home which was about 2 hours and she had peed in her sleep.

Honestly if shes just going in her pants or on the floor all the time it sounds like she's not ready yet. There's not set time, some kids are 2  some are 3, some are 4 - but there's no point stressing yourselves both out trying to make it happen, I'd leave it a couple of months and try again. When they're ready it can be super straightforward, if not its giving yourself tons of work ❤ xx

We started Easter week because we had a week in the house.
Pees have been pretty good from the start but number twos took a while to get the hang of. I’d say it’s only been the last 1-2 weeks she’s grasped it fully.
She still soaks her overnight pull up so I don’t think we’re ready for nights yet but we’ve only recently removed the side off the cot so we’ll probably wait a couple of months before we tackle overnight x

We started about 10 days ago and pee has been ok (a few accidents) but #2 definitely more difficult. I think she was afraid to go #2 on the big potty so she was holding it and it became painful. Been feeding her all the “p” fruits per my doctor’s advice. These are very fibrous and good for helping soften stools. Also a spoonful of olive oil helps too.
Back to your question though maybe she is just not ready?! It really comes down to readiness. Can you wait and try again or is potty training required for upcoming school?

It took our daughter a solid three months to grasp potty training, especially when it came to pooping. It was horrible. I threw away so many pairs of underwear. One day it just clicked and she started telling me she had to go. Now she will even go by herself - door closed and all. However, she has pee accidents here and there, especially if she is busy doing something. She also is not nap or night time potty trained, so she still wears a diaper to bed. Just keep at it. I would tell her how happy it made me when she went on the potty and how it made me sad when she didn’t. For some reason that really worked with her.

My daughter isn't, we wanted to begin a few months ago but then she had major poop issues and we basically couldn't.. now that it's cleared up we are ready to start again. She needs to be fully potty trained before November because that's when she goes to the big kids group at her daycare and the teacher told me she needs to be potty trained before she can join the group! No pressure 😅 we are going to try some one week naked thing.. basically throw out the diapers, pull ups for night and just do it. I hope it works.. 😱
