Long period or something wrong

Hi

I do have un regular periods but this is ridiculous. I do have heavy periods with clots that I am waiting list to have hysterectomy as tried every thing n im not having anymore kids, I 40, i had complications falling n staying pregnant and we have healthy 9 year old boy girl twins.. It's day 14 of my period, I had a heavy period the first 8 or 9 days with clots that I take medication to reduce the bleeding.. but I've since had spotting, or red ish discharge from day 8 to now day 14 which is a further 6 days from the period. I had blood's done for hormones to see if I'm starting menopause but no. Now I'm worried it's cancer or something? I am going back to the dr on Tuesday for a pap smear and examination etc but it's super worrying me. Any ideas ? Thank you for any help 🙏
