Pump and dump?

When you smoke ( weed) do you have to pump and dump? If so how much?
Same question with drinking, thank u in advance!

Pump and dumping has been proven to be unnecessary. Alcohol (can't speak for weed because idk) leaves your breastmilk at the same pace it leaves your blood stream. If your okay to drive you're okay to continue breastfeeding, if you're not okay to drive then once you're feeling good again you're okay to breastfeed. Alcohol does not stay in breastmilk when the alcohol is out of your system.

Marijuana is fat soluble and will stay in breast milk for several days. Don't consume marijuana products while breastfeeding.
Alcohol is eliminated at the same rate as in blood. If you're sober enough to drive you can feed.

Drinking its about 2 hrs pr alocholic beverage. So 1 shot it takes about 2/3 hours for your body to process the alochol, 1 beer same time frame etc. So however many drinks times that amount of time is how long ya gotta pump and dump, if you still feel tipsy/, drunk even after that time has passed do not feed the milk to the baby. If the baby is less than 3 months old wait a lot longer. Bevause even after 2/3 hr mark theres still some alochol and infants under 3 can not tolerate it.

Pumping and dumping has been proven ineffective. Alcohol and drugs are going to stay in your system regardless of how much you pump for the normal amounts of time that  it would normally take. If you're going to smoke or drink while breastfeeding its always good to make sure you have enough bottles already pumped beforehand to last the duration.
