I (22) work part time in retail rn, and keep having this man (mid 30s) come in looking for me, and yesterday really freaked me out. He’s come in three times now.

First time, he came in by himself and seemed harmless and eager to buy. He flagged me down asking for help, said he was a photographer in the area. I asked him if he knew my other employer who’s also a photographer in town, and he said he did and implied he could top whatever I was getting paid. He was looking for outfits to use in a shoot and wanted styling advice so I helped him pick out a couple options then started to leave so he could look more. He asked if we worked for commission, i said no, then offered me cash if I’d go try on the outfits. I said I didn’t think I was allowed to do that but would ask my manager. I alerted them to what was going on and my manager said “yeah that’s creepy don’t do that, all the items are on models online” I let the guy know that I can’t, and he asks if he can have my contact so he could get in touch about the shoot or potential work. I say I can give him my employer’s business card that has the phone and email I answer typically. He agrees but I start taking care of other customers and figure he’ll just go. He comes up like an hour later and asks again. I give him the number, he asks “but is this YOUR number?” And I again say I’d feel most comfortable going through my employer. He leaves

I ask my boss if he knows this guy, and he doesn’t seem to, he also never reached out to the number I gave him. Few days later, he comes in with a friend to try on the clothes. My manager says I can go to the back for a while, but he flags me down again to say that and what did and didn’t work. He leaves. I’ve also seen the friend come in, but she seems normal.

Yesterday, he came in around 3:30pm for a third time. My manger again tells me to just hang in the back. I hear her ask him if there’s anything she can help with. He days he’s just looking, and immediately leaves once he sees me avoiding him. Then we close at 6pm, lock up, and my manager says she’s giving me a ride to my parking spot. We get a call from our coworker who was also closing saying she saw him take off as soon as we locked the doors. He passes in front of us, and my manager waits until he’s out of sight to drop me off. I ended up being a car behind him bc he was turning in the same direction. I have his plates. My bf and parents think I should file a report, but I’m worried that’s an overreaction. I don’t want to make it worse.

TL/DR: guy who’s come into my place of work 3 times waited for me to walk to my car. I’ve been stalked before, but idk if I’m being paranoid.
