Hi so im filling out this application for a new apartment and the last one my dad was the lease holder an left me and moved states I eventually got evicted because I couldn't afford the rent. I was on the lease but I wasn't the lease holder does this count as me getting evicted?

It might depend on how the specific landlord looks at it but in my experience if you were an adult and on the lease in any way yes you were evicted. My brother was on a lease with his friend and they were evicted and he wasn't the primary on the lease but had a hard time getting an apt after because he had an eviction on it. So honestly just depends probably but if you were an adult probably.

How was the eviction issued? Was it through the courts with your name on it? I would think it’s on your dads record unless you were specifically mentioned

Many lifetimes ago I lived in a house with a boyfriend. I was not on any paperwork for the house itself. No deed, no lease, no contract, none of that stuff. He ended up getting evicted months after I left him. Somehow my name was listed on the eviction. I found this out when trying to get an apartment. I did get mail there and also found out the electric bill was in my name. 
If you are an adult living there, it is possible the eviction will be on your name as well. I’m not sure how it works. Could be different by states or cities. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
