Anyone else struggled to get pregnant?

I’m a leiomyosarcoma survivor (uterine cancer). I was diagnosed at 25 and refused to have a hysterectomy. I did chemo, radiation and had tons of surgeries to remove tumors. I’m 36 now. I also have PCOS and endometriosis. My husband and I have been ttc with fertility tx for over 4 years now. We had one ectopic that wound up rupturing despite methotrexate to resolve the ectopic and I lost my right tube. During the surgery, they found my left tube to be rigid and nodular, so I was advised to pursue IVF going forward. I went with Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosa with the Infertility Clinic of St Louis as Silber is a pioneer, of the fertility world. It was definitely not convenient to go all of the way to St Louis. We had one failed FET in March, but I’m no quitter. So we did a FBT on May 28, and it was a success!!! I was instructed to wait 9 days before testing, well I made it to 7 and it was positive before the control line appeared!!!

To all you lovely angels out there currently struggling or have struggled before, you are not alone. I hope knowing a bit of my journey helps inspire you. When speaking to other ladies from all over the world (Japan, Kenya, Canada and Chile to name a few) in St Louis who struggle with infertility, their stories inspired me. It was comforting to meet other fertility warriors who would do anything for the pursuit of motherhood.

It’s been a physically and mentally painful journey just to see two pink lines on a stick. So I’m currently embracing the puke now. Totally honored and happy to be puking for once.
