Have any of you had a brain tumor?

I found out my 28 year old cousin had a brain tumor.(not cancerous) It was big and was giving him headaches for years because doctors were dismissing him(also vision loss from one eye). He had a 14 hour long surgery and is in hospital right now. Have any of you guys had this? And what was your experience. how was recovery from this surgery like?

A relative gone through it, the recovery very much depends on the position where the tumor is. Her recovery was long and quite hard. Needed 4-6 months to go back to walking and speaking normally

I haven't experienced that, but I'm glad they finally found it instead of dismissing his concerns. 
I also have a tumor that was finally found, but not in that area, which is definitely more serious and intense.
He might end up feeling much better now that it's gone- I'm hoping he has a good recovery and does better from here. Hopefully he doesn't have much permanent damage or anything.
