I am really starting to lose my mind with peoples ignorance. I was in Walmart letting my kids pick new bed sheets and room decor when a older lady came and made a comment about my son. Back story he had chosen dinos and my 3 year old picked rainbows, we are in the aisle they are looking all around. my son is taller of course than my daughter so he was grabbing this rainbow pillow on the upper shelves to show her when the lady comments oh my don’t let him get that or he will turn out you know. I told her please go somewhere else with your ignorance and if he wanted a rainbow pillow I sure will let him. Oh and lastly just cause a person likes colors and rainbows doesn’t mean anything and if he grows up to be you know what it won’t matter to me! She then yells your mother didn’t teach you to respect elders so I yelled back yes she did and she also showed me to stand up for my kids and most importantly how to mind my own dam business something obviously your mom didn’t teach you !!!!

And in the aisle there was another person and he obviously had watery eyes so I said sorry you where in the middle of all that . His response brought tears to my eyes he said no it’s ok I’m gay and I wish I had a mother that would’ve stood up for me and loved me in those hard moments where I was judged for being me.
