implantation or spotting

So I stopped having sex for about 8 months and recently a week ago.

My period is supposed to start on the 25th however i’m experiencing very light light pink spotting which never has happened to me before a period. Not trying to freak myself out but has anyone experienced this and is it normal to randomly happen before a period ?
