What would you chose?

My boyfriend got a new job 45 minutes away from our house. It’s a great job and pays very well! (Yay)

The problem is, our current daycare is the opposite direction to his new job. He wants me to drop the child off now (which would mean our 3 year old needs to be up at 4:30am as I work at 6am and I would need to leave by 5am to make it daycare and to work on time) this is out of my way, and will cost me extra gas to drive there and cause me to wake up earlier lol. Not fun. Then he will pick him up when he’s done which wouldn’t be till probably almost 5pm. (Again, keep in mind this is the totally opposite direction for him, adding at least a half hour or more driving time for him)

I found a new daycare on his way to work, which is literally 4 miles up the road which is crazy cause we live in the middle of nowhere haha. It’s cheaper and it’s actually a licensed daycare which I feel would be better for him AND has good reviews! He don’t want to change because our son has one very good friend at the current place but the place up the road has 3 children his age which I know he’d make new friends with. I’d feel terrible switching and losing his friend but I think this is a no brainer! He wouldn’t have to get up at 4:30am, and could probably sleep till 6-6:30am and it’s right on his way.
