Would you go to the BBQ or avoid MIL ?

I’ve been M.I.A from in-laws for a few months now, recently went through HELL with mother in law.

I set boundary’s, sticking to them for a change and that’s where we are.

It’s ‘clam’ right now between everyone and the BBQ is at her daughters house. Last dinner I attended after everything MIL did to me , was at the parents house. I Was avoided and ignored, never happened until that day. It was noticeable.

My question is, should I even attend this BBQ?

It’s not at the parents house, but MIL will be there. I’ve always had a good relationship with SIL UNLESS mother in law decided to hate me that month, then she avoids me.

Plus my children should see they’re family.

Help.
