Advice for losing more weight post partum
So my weight did not follow a typical pattern while I was pregnant. I was 250 lbs when I conceived and by the second trimester I was 235. I was very worried my baby's weight was suffering because I wasn't gaining, but she was always on track if not a little ahead growth wise at her anatomy checks. My doctor told me my body was just utilizing existing fat stores instead of making new ones, so I decided to just go with it. I did eventually gain some weight, and I wad 243 at my last check up. After the birth I went down to 220, but it's been 6 weeks since then and I have stalled. In terms of becoming healthier, I feel I have a lot of obstacles. For the last 5 years before conceiving my mental health hasn't been great and my activity level declined as a result. I've made a lot of progress taking care of myself mentally, but not so much physically. I was pretty sedentary throughout the pregnancy and I haven't actively exercised in years. I don't know how to get started again. In addition having a new baby is exhausting. I'm low on sleep, high on stress, and breastfeeding makes me ravenous. I really want to be healthy a model a good lifestyle for my daughter. Has anyone experienced similar hurdles? What advice would you give for where I am right now?
